Our reunion itinerary plans are being finalized and will be mailed to everyone immediately upon completion. We are all truly excited about our planned program. Every effort has been made to develop an exciting program for everyone's enjoyment. More importantly, emphasis was placed on affordability to allow for everyone's participation.
For starters, we will enjoy San Antonio at the height of their season. We'll also be there for their 3 day St Paddy's celebration that will be held on March 16 - March 18, 2007. The St. Paddy's Day Weekend has much in store for those who would like to celebrate.
Our itinerary has also taken into consideration those of us who enjoy a more leisurely pace by providing ample time to sit back and smell the roses or to explore a bit of San Antonio on your own.

The Alamo - The most famous spot in Texas. Where Davy Crockett, Colonel William Barrett Travis, Jim Bowie and 186 other died fighting for independence on March 6, 1836, after repeated attacks from Mexican General Santa Anna. Originally established in 1718 as San Antonios first mission, The Alamo is located in the heart of the city, inside beautifully landscaped grounds.
Mission San José Founded in 1720, San Jose became the largest of the Texas missions with up to 300 inhabitants at one time. It is now fully restored and showcases exquisite carvings on the church and the famous Rose Window, renowned as one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial art in the country.
Market Square El Mercado A visit to historic Market Square is a unique and exciting experience. From the famous 24-hour restaurant and bakery, Mi Tierra, to an outstanding art gallery and century-old pharmacy, this is a great place to shop for extraordinary gifts and souvenirs or to just relax. Visitors can browse the 32 shops at El Mercado, as well as the 80 specialty shops in Farmers, Market Plaza.
Mission Concepción - Visit Mission Concepcion and be transported back in time to the era of Spanish conquest, and experience the strength of the Friars who Christianized the Native Americans. Learn how the Spanish developed the mission system within the San Antonio area and how they and Native Americans lived and worked in the mission era. View the original frescoes still visible within the rooms of the mission. Mission Concepcion is the oldest unrestored stone church in America today, and it is still an active parish.

San Fernando Cathedral - Founded in 1738, this is among the oldest Catholic parish churches in the southwest. Main Plaza - the heart of San Antonio dating from 1772. Plaza De Armas - the original site of the Spanish Presidio and home of the Spanish Governor when Texas was under Spanish rule.
La Villita - San Antonio's oldest surviving neighborhood dating from the 1750's is now alive with artists and craftsmen, shops and restaurants.

St. Paddy's Day Celebration is a 3 day St Paddy's celebration that will be held on March 16 - March 18, 2007. The St. Paddy's Day Weekend has much in store for those who would like to celebrate including, a parade, the annual "Dying the River Green," with 35 pounds of environmentally friendly dye will turn the San Antonio River into a miniature Emerald Isle for the weekend of St. Patrick's Day. On Friday, there is expected to be more than 15,000 people to take part in the festival along the river walk, which will be followed by the local pub-crawl. I'm betting on Sid all the way. On Sunday, the festivities will reconvene for the "Re-dying of the River," followed by the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade that includes a parade of barges to commemorate the Great St. Patrick Held: River Walk, 602 E. San Antonio is the third largest city in Texas with one of the nation's largest military centers. It is home to Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base, and Brooks City Base. The Air Force Aerospace Medical Center are in the city. San Antonio was named for the Portuguese Saint, Anthony of Padua, whose feast day it was when a Spanish expedition stopped in the area in 1691. Weather - San
Antonio has about a 50% chance of the sunshine during the winter
months and more than a 70% chance during the summer months. Skies
are clear to partly cloudy more than 60% of the time and cloudy
less than 40% of the time. Average temperatures range from 50o
in January to the mid 90s in July and August. While the summer
is hot, with daily temperatures above 90o over 80% of the time,
extremely high temperatures (100o and over) and rare. Mild weather
prevails during the winter months, with temperatures below freezing
occurring on an average of about 20 days per year
Relative humidity is above 80% during the early morning hours most of the year, dropping to near 50% in the late afternoon. The normal annual rainfall is about 28 inches, with the heaviest amounts occurring during May and September. Measurable snow falls only once every three or four years
