It is our pleasure to invite the friends and families of our USS Perry DMS-17 and DD-844 Association members to Washington, DC to frolic with us at our 5th Reunion and celebrate the DD-844 Commissioning 60 years ago. Can you believe the years that have passed since we last enjoyed the camaraderie of our shipmates aboard the Perry. Please plan to seize the moment and recapture a bit of your youth once again for another exciting cruise down ‘Memory Lane’ at the 5th gathering of Perry shipmates.

 

DC is the heart of the American experience. From its celebrated symbols of patriotism, monuments to the past and aspirations for the future, our Nation’s Capital is truly awe-inspiring. Build upon your own unforgettable experiences as you visit the new WWII, Korean, Marine, Viet Nam, FDR and Lincoln Memorials. A special wreath laying ceremony in honor of the USS Perry is planned at the venerable US Navy Memorial home of the Lone Sailor. A stirring tour is also planned to the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington Cemetery. You will learn the history, experience the present and ponder the future of this most American of cities, during our outstanding reunion program.  In addition to a city sightseeing tour, we have also planned a group seafood dinner, an evening “Illuminations Tour”, a show at the inimitable Kennedy Center, and experience an exciting day at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis! WOW!
