Minutes of Business Meeting held at 1:00 p.m., 5/15/03 at
the Third Reunion, in Branson, Mo
The Business Meeting was called to order by outgoing
President Steve Silk.
Officers, Directors / Advisory Committee members were
selected for the next “Watch” by those shipmates in attendance. Nominations
were made and each was unanimously elected to their respective positions

The new Officers and Directors gave Steve Silk, the Outgoing
President and the Perry Reunion Founder, a job “Well Done” for what he has
created and all that he has accomplished.
A Financial Accounting covering 11/1/02 – 4/30/03 was
submitted by Steve Silk and accepted by all hands as written.
Proposal from Steve Silk:
1. Dues ( $10.00 ) are not mandatory. A request for dues shall be made once during
a reunion cycle (Approx. 18 mos.)
2.
That no more than 10% of dues will go to a charitable organization
3.
That 75% of our cash balance will go towards the next
reunion
Proposal was accepted and the bylaws changed.
Awards were presented to the following shipmates:

Key Chain
Ernie Peterson of having traveled the furthest to attend the
reunion.
Fred Kragler as the best Perry recruiter.
Larry Tunks lost his bid for the oldest shipmate to a fellow
shipmate that attested to age 85. At the moment he remains unnamed.
Port Hole Key Chains were also given to Joe Malmendier,
Martin Deeney, Will Pruett, David Pruett and Stephen Silk for their hard work,
dedication, attention to detail and just providing a wonderful time for all
shipmates, their families and friends who attended the reunion.
The following topics were discussed:
The site and Chairman of next Reunion is undecided at this
time, several shipmates will research various sites, costs, itinerary’s etc.

Crews – A suggestion was made that the membership Crews be
named, some discussion was made but no decision was reached, item is tabled.
In as much as there was no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
